Christmas Trees For Active Military Families
Did you know that thousands of military families go without a Christmas tree each year? Beyond deployment, family separation, and constant worry about loved ones on the front lines defending our freedom, many military families have financial concerns that mean Christmas doesn’t include a tree.
We all know that Christmas just isn’t Christmas without a tree to decorate and enjoy. It symbolizes everything that makes the holidays so special. And, when you are missing a family member because they are overseas or you want to enjoy your first holiday back together as a family, that Christmas tree becomes even more important.
It’s those feelings and a desire to fill a need in a community that is filled with active duty members. Randy and Denise Wood started Core-934 more than a decade ago to provide Christmas trees and wreaths to active military members and their families.
They make it very easy for you to support this worthy cause. All it takes is $40 to sponsor a family. You can also participate in their annual golf tournament, which raises additional funds to help add cheer to the Christmas season for these well-deserving families.
